Beatles: Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Heart Band

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is the eighth studio album by the English rock band the Beatles. Released on 26 May 1967.  Sgt. Pepper is regarded by musicologists as an early concept album that advanced the roles of sound composition, extended form, psychedelic imagery, record sleeves/album covers along with being a trend setter in popular music of their time. The album marked a cultural and artistic watershed for the Beatles in 1967, as their image shifted from one of lovable mop tops, which they despised, to a creative force wired by drugs, disaffection, self-exploration, and a mandate to push the musical envelope as far as it would go.
